Westruggledtorebuild.Itwashardatfirst,butweeventuallylearnedtoadapt.Wehadto:therewasnootherchoice.Welearnedtolivewithoutbasicnecessitieslikeelectricity,runningwater,andevenfood.Diseasesspreadlikewildfire,andwehadtofindwaystotreatthemwithoutthehelpofmodernmedicine.Peopledied,familiesweretornapart,andtheworldseemedlikeahopelessplace.Butthroughitall,wepersevered.
TheLessonsLearned
It'sbeenyearssincethatlife-changingevent,andwe'vecomealongwaysincethen.We'verebuiltourhomes,ourcities,andourlives.Butwe'vealsolearnedimportantlessonsalongtheway.We'velearnedthatwe'remoreresilientthanweeverthoughtpossible.We'velearnedtoappreciatethelittlethingsinlife,likeacleanglassofwaterorawarmmeal.We'velearnedtocometogetherintimesofcrisis,tohelpeachotheroutandtobekindtooneanother.We'velearnedthatlifeisunpredictable,andthatweshouldcherisheverymomentwehave.
